THE SUPER FERRY EXPERIENCE
The air conditioning unit at the megavalue area, which is the type of accomodation that we have, had a problem. It was hot! We chilled outside the megavalue area and stayed somewhere else. This is in front of the lobby area.
We waited for the superferry to move and we watched through these windows how the tugboat maneuvered as it tows our ferry .
These are our tripmates. We just met them here. Even the organizer of the trip, Owen, was just a name to us until this moment. Owen organized the trip for all of us and we just know of him online. Good thing he is real!
We ate our dinner here. It is a restaurant in the ship. The food was just okay. Surprisingly, the food that is included in our accomodation package was good. We ate it also. We ordered a lot of food and so we ended up eating a lot!
We wanted to see the sunrise so we woke up early and went to the deck in front of the ship.

This is Coron Pier.

SEA DIVE…Where we stayed in Coron.
This is La Serenita, a restaurant near Sea Dive. We ate dinner there and it was very disappointing. The food is not good and it was so hot. The weather was humid and there was very little wind so we asked if they have a fan and they said that they don’t have. It is not a very good thing to rely on nature to provide wind especially during summer.

Our room was on the second floor and it is a fan room only. NO AC! I survived two hot nights there. It is nice to chill here at night.

That is Sea Dive at night.

FIRST DAY IN CORON
Upon arriving in Coron, we just ate breakfast at Sea Dive and off we go.
FIRST STOP- TWIN LAGOON
This is where salt water meets the fresh water from the lagoon. You have to pass under a small opening to go to the lagoon. Thank God there is such a thing as snorkel and mask. The water here looks oily if you’ll look at it under the water. This is because the water is mixing. Here, you will also suddenly feel warm water and then cool water and then warm water again and then cool again. hehe!
These are photos taken during our ride going to Banol beach from Twin lagoon.
Just one of the many small white sand beaches there.
BANOL BEACH
This is the place where we had our lunch and the others swam a little. Lots of sea urchins here. One of the boatmen caught one and some of our tripmates tasted it.

We dipped on the right side of the beach to cool off. Not much urchins here. Good spot for taking pictures also.
This is on the left side of the beach. Our tripmate found this spot. It is like a small cave. Nice spot for chilling also.
SKELETON WRECK
The site of a sunken old japanese war ship.
CORON YOUTH CLUB BEACH
I like this place because the water is very shallow and the view is very nice for taking pictures!
See the starfish on my swimsuit?
Don’t mind the boys. I have my eyes only for my starfish.
Our model pose! Haha!
SECOND DAY
MT. TAPYAS
I was so confident that I can climb this small mountain. I found out that it was not that easy.
The concrete stairway to Mt. Tapyas.
I reached the top!
View from Mt. Tapyas.

BOAT RIDE AGAIN
We ate breakfast after climbing Mt. Tapyas and then we proceeded to the second day of our island hopping.
SIETE PICADOS
This place is a marine sanctuary. Lots of different kinds of fishes here! I saw a lot! It is just hard to swim here because of the current and the water is not really still. Small waves that makes your body ache afterwards. I’ll post the underwater pictures next.
MAKINIT HOTSPRING
Definitely hot, hot, hot!
MAY NUNO BEACH
We were supposed to have lunch at Kayangan Lake but a local TV series by GMA 7 was being filmed there. We were so pissed off because we were not able to go there. They don’t own the place and they don’t have the right to shoo us away! BOO! BOYCOT DYESEBEL!
Anyway, we just had our lunch here. It is also a nice small beach.

KALACHUCHI BEACH
A snorkeling spot also. I did not go down anymore because I got so tired snorkeling at Siete Picados. Very clear water here.
TWIN LAGOON AGAIN
We went back here one more time. I saw many schools of fishes! Big schools! I’ll post the pictures next time.
BARRACUDA LAKE
That small house-like structure is the doorway to the lake. You have to traverse rough spiky rocks. The lake inside is very calm. Quite dark for snorkeling though. Didn’t see any fish inside the lake but I was able to take some close-up pictures of fishes in the shallow sea water outside.
